Transfer License to Client

Hello,
I have looked and cannot find.
My client wants to have their own account with licenses.
I “unlocked” the license in my dashboard, but they are getting a “waiting for transfer - lock license” notification.
I did not receive any notification to authorized the transfer, so I assume Themeco Staff has to do this.

Please help.

Hi, @chadever,

To complete the transfer, go to your licenses page, click on “Register License”, copy/paste the license code and hit enter. This will remove the license from your customer and add to you.

That is moving it in the wrong direction
We have had them create an account and do exactly that but it shows that the license is locked or something. They don’t show up on mine anymore either so I am hands off.

So let’s be sure about your needs:

  • You have the license on chadever account, unlocked it, and your customer created an account and registered the license.
  • The license remains unlocked on your customer account (“Waiting for Transfer - License Unlocked”).
  • You want to let the license on your customer account, locked.

So if I understand correctly, your customer just needs to click on the “key” button and lock it.

Another small clarify: both codes you sent are for the same license. The first is the Pro Themeco License, the second the legacy X ThemeForest purchase code from your original purchase. You can use any of them to register your production and staging licenses, and we suggest you use only the newest Themeco license. They are not production/staging licenses.

Here is what the client is seeing.
It says waiting for transfer.
Can you post details of what they need to do, as I no longer have this license on my dashboard.
I can the screenshot the response.

Hi, there,

Instruct your customer to:

  • go to the licenses page
  • click the “key” right on the license in red
  • on the modal window, click on “Lock License” button

I add an image below to help your customer to find it.
