Transfer License Issues

I am trying to transfer a license from a production site to a live site. The production site was on a random domain that I no longer use and now I have transferred the site to another domain.

I’ve read in the forums that I need to revoke the license from the production site - however, I have completely deleted the home directory, so can not do this.

I’ve tried to change the site, but when I try to validate the license I get the message - Your code is valid but looks like it has already been used on another site. You can revoke and re-assign within your Themeco account.

Hi James,

Thanks for reaching out.

You don’t need to revoke it from the actual site, you just assign a new URL in your Apex’s license page. Then validate that license on your new site. You can change the assigned URL by clicking the pencil icon, then save it.

May I know which site you’re trying to validate it?

It worked this time!

I’m not sure if this made a difference, but today I only put the new address as a production site, whereas previously I had assigned the new url to both production and staging.

Anyway, all fixed now - thank you for the support. Cheers James

You should only put a domain either production or staging, not both. Glad things sorted out on your end now.
