Toolset Layouts Integration with X, Pro, and Cornerstone?

Toolset provides the ability to create custom types, taxonomies, and fields. Toolset Layouts provides layout control of that information and the ability to assign those layouts to archives, categories, specific pages, etc…

In the latest release they now provide integration with some of your theme competitors—which essentially allows one to utilize their content builders for creating the page layouts (as opposed to using the Toolset Layout editor).

When I inquired with them about integrating with X/Pro/Cornerstone, they indicated that integration requires cooperation with you as a theme developer and asked me as a customer to initiate the discussion. Is this something you’d be interested in pursuing?

With the market that Toolset serves, I see a this as another gateway for acquiring new X/Pro or Cornerstone users. Plus, I hate knowing that users of competing themes are able to do something that I can’t. And where I first thought their might be overlap in functionality, I now see it more as bringing them together.

Thanks for writing in and the suggestion! I actually handle our partnerships with other plugins to make sure the integrations run smoothly and for any ideas that will enhance the users benefit mutually for both parties.

This particular functionality is something that I’ve been discussing with the folks over at Toolset and is something we take on in the future once the next major releases of X/Pro are out (more specifically the template manager/presets), so certainly don’t rule this out from happening.
