There Has Got To Be a Better Way To Display This Map

Hi,
I setup a Google map of locations - Here it is:

This does not really work the way I would like it to and it also does not display the main menu.

What I would like is to have the map pins popup with the video on top and a description below. Clicking the video should take the visitor either to the YouTube video, or even better to the page on the website with the full article post - which already has the video embedded.

How can I do this?

Thanks,
John

Hi @yodajones,

Thanks for writing in.

May I know which menu? I don’t see any menu element in the source code of your header where the map is. Plus, the pins and video isn’t something you can achieve on this embed type map. I recommend contacting the google map developer, what you may need is map API instead of embed code.

Thanks!

Hi Rad,

This is the menu that should appear on the map page. The main menu from the home page and all other pages:

This is how I would like the map to display the map pins:

Hello John,

I have compared both pages and to have the exact pins in the map to be displayed in your site, please use this embed code instead:

<iframe width="100%" height="100%" scrolling="auto" src="https://projectcoups.dreamhosters.com/"></iframe>

Please let us know if this works out for you.

Hi RueNel,

Thanks, but there is some confusion. I do not want “Their” map on my website. I want my data displayed like their map meaning I want my videos to appear on the map as displayed in the image attached above, not on the side as they currently are.

Hello There,

Thank you for the clarifications. Regretfully the map element marker can only display a plain text information for your map. There isn’t any feature at the moment that allows you to insert a video. It can only be done with custom development which is exactly what have been done in the example url. Please be advised that custom development is way beyond the scope of our support. We only covers getting your site setup, bug fixes and minor cosmetic changes. You may need to contact a developer to be able achieve what you have in mind.

Thank you for your understanding.
