Themeco X theme license not working

Hi,

I have a small problem when validating the X theme license for one of my websites.
The website was built around 5 years ago. At that time 1 license was activated but I guess i deactivated it?

Now when one of the developers are working on the site the validation is not possible.
See the information bellow.

What was done and didn’t work:

• PHP different versions tested
• Plugins disabled

Hi Luka,

There might be a few different reasons for this issue, I would suggest you troubleshoot the common issues related to the Product Validation

1. Location Issues
2. Communication Error Messages

If none of the above helps, please provide login credentials for your site in a secure note to examine it further, including:

– WordPress Site URL & Admin URL
– WordPress Admin username/password

To create a secure note, click the key icon underneath any of your posts.

Hi Tristup,

thanks for a quick response.
I read the whole blog post but still couldn’t activate the license.

What I learned:

• PHP was updated to 7.4 and the error message stays the same (check summary from 1st forum post)
• Plugins all disabled
• I saw that the SSL is not set as the main URL in WP. I changed the site location from https to http in Theme.co account but that didn’t help.

Bellow I am sending the login credentials.

Hi Luka,

I have checked your website and found that you are using a much older version of X i.e. 4.6.4 and the Cornerstone version 1.3.3. The validation process has been changed a lot in the updated version. As you are using a much older version, I would suggest you please copy your live site to a staging server and update the X theme and the Cornerstone in the staging by following the below steps.

1. Delete the existing Cornerstone
2. Update the X theme to the latest version on automatic updates
3. After the X theme is updated, use the link in the dashboard to automatically install the Cornerstone. It will be in the latest version.

And If everything goes fine in your staging please migrate the staging server to live and try to activate the license once again.
