Hey @weddingcrashers,
Thanks for reaching out!
We are not experiencing the same issue in our development area. That being said, there could be some conflicts when you try to update the theme version. Just want to let you know that there was a new update a while ago. Please try to check and update to the latest version.
I also recommend the following troubleshooting procedures before we investigate the settings.
Only if none of that helps, please give us the following information in a Secure Note.
- WordPress Login URL
- Admin level username and password
You can find the Secure Note button at the bottom of your posts.
Thank you.
Hi @weddingcrashers,
I have checked and found the issue you described here. It mostly occurs if any tags are not closed properly or if any broken HTML has been used within the content. I would suggest you please delete the sections of the specific components one by one until the issue is fixed, and the last one you delete might have contained the broken HTML.
I have copied the content of the Classical page and added it into a Test page while deleting Section 2 and Section 3 the page starts loading. That shows the problem was with that two sections.
Hope it helps.
Thanks
I’m not sure I follow as I’m not a webguy. So how cN I identify “tags” that aren’t closed properly or any broken HTML. If I delete sections as you suggest then my website will be a blank page. I’m not sure what to do here. Thank you
Hi @weddingcrashers,
You need to save the Page as Template using the Save Template and load it into a new page and delete the section one by one to check which one is the reason behind your problem. There is no other way to find out the cause behind your problem.
Thanks
How can I save the pages as a template if I can’t open the pages, it appears that most of the pages are no infected.
do you think the problem came from upgrading to the current wordpress from the previous version?
below is a backup warning message from 7/30, on 7/31 i upgraded the theme and the wordpress version from the previous version to most current. That’s what popped up when I attempted to restore the backup from 7/30, i since canceled and did not restore anything.
** This backup set is of this site, but at the time of the backup you were using http, whereas the site now uses https. As long as your web hosting allows http (i.e. non-SSL access) or will forward requests to https (which is almost always the case), this is no problem. If that is not yet set up, then you should set it up, or use the migrator add-on so that the non-https links are automatically replaced.*
Hey Damien,
Your pages work on my end (see screenshot the secure note). Would you mind testing in other browsers? If you’re using browser extensions, please try deactivating all of them temporarily as there might be a Javascript conflict that prevents Cornerstone from loading.
