Hi,
I have a site that has not been updated in some time. I went in yesterday and updated everything. The site is using visual composer. I uploaded the latest version and added it to the site. Nothing working and I had to delete the update and revert to a backup.
What is the best way to update and keep the design elements? Would hate to have to switch themes.

Thanks for posting in! It seems that you have a quite older version. Please push the updates again and make sure that you have X 6.4.6 and Cornerstone 3.4.6. Please also update the WPBakery Page Builder plugin. After all of the updates, go to WPBakery Page Builder > General Settings and enable the “Legacy X Integration” option.
After doing the updates, always remember to clear all caches (if you are using WP Rocket, WP SuperCache or W3 Total Cache) when updating so that the code from the latest release is always in use. This will help you to avoid any potential errors.
