Theme Update Failed "This is usually due to inconsistent file permissions"

Hi

I am attempting to update my site (uses X-child theme) which is running X 7.2.3 to the latest version 8.0.4. However it won’t. I get the following error message (see below). Are you able to advise what I should do?

Hi @sewotherspoon,

Thanks for reaching out.
It seems the issue related to the file and folder permission, which does not allow you to upload the latest version of the theme, you need to ask your hosting service provider to resolve this.
The following articles will help you to know more about this:

Please remember that the file permissions issues are not theme related and are beyond the scope of theme support.

Thanks
