Theme running very slow

Is it just me or the site has gotten significantly slower?

So we did a fresh Wordpress install, this site is clean, installed only the necessary plugins and added only the necessary content but it’s loading extremely slower than before… slower than our backup version which is using the old version of the xtheme. We tested it on pagespeed, and also on different browsers, it’s running slowest on chrome both for the front-end and the theme editor. Am I the only one who’s encountering this, is this a bug? Also, We don’t mind learning a new UI but it has to run properly and be optimized for our users.

The page speed issue is mostly related to the content used in your site and beyond the scope of our theme support. I would suggest you hire a developer who can assist you to do the customization or you can avail of our newly launched service called One, where the customization questions are answered.
I would also suggest you troubleshoot a few common issues on this.

1.Plugin Conflict
2.Child Theme Related issue
3.CSS/JS Customization
4.Disabling Cache
5.Disabling CDN

Thank you for the speedy response @tristup, is there also a way to speed up the editor?

Creating a new page an editing in cornerstone is loading slower than before.

Hi @redleome,

This would depend on the server resources and configuration, on which you are running our software. As such, there are no settings within the theme that will make a material difference to the loading speed of the software itself.

One thing that you could try is to increase the PHP memory limit. Check out the article here for guidance on how to do this.

Beyond that, you can look at your server configuration to see what options you have there. You may need to discuss that with your server provider.
