Theme Pro WPML component translation - IFrame response incomplete

As the title says. Translation Components (previously global blocks) errors.

The preview could not load due to the iframe response being incomplete. This is most often related to a plugin conflict, or customizations introducing a PHP error.

Our Englisch translated components are loading just fine. The Chinese don’t and error.

We already tried the following:

  • PHP Memory increased to 512MB on our live server
  • Updated them to most recent Version
  • Deactivated all Plugins (not WPML though)
  • Deactivated Child Theme
  • Removed all custom JS and CSS
  • Disabled Caching
  • Disabled CDN
  • Recreated Global Blocks/Components

nothing works.

Update:

Changing the WPML Settings to use a folder per Language seems to resolve this problem for now.

any infos about this bug?

I never encountered that in my WPML builds. It should be fine with either URL language settings. Sometimes changing a WPML setting can trigger it to do something behind the scenes so you might have encountered that. In general we’ve been having some WPML issues on their end, but I’m sure we’ll get that all ironed out this year. When you switch back does it work again? Are you getting any console errors when in Cornerstone and the issue has occurred?
