Theme Options not showing in backend and not loading on frontend

Hi there,

the ‘Theme Options’ are not available when hovering the ‘X’ in the WordPress backend. When we try to open them via ‘Design’ > ‘Customizer’ > ‘Customize X in Theme Options’ the page is loading but the area on the left stays empty.

We already tried changing the theme (X and Cornerstone are already updated to the latest version), installing and activating a child theme and deactivating all plugins. The problem is not browser specific (tested in Firefox and Chrome).

Please have a look at the backend (see Secure Note).

Best regards

Hi @knowmates,

Thank you for writing in, this issue is actually weird so upon extended investigation with the help of my colleague/friend @marc_a we able to find the issue.

Your account rzadmin is not really an admin and it has limited access, actually, it’s not only the Theme Options is missing, the Users, Templates, and Design Cloud features are missing too. We found out that rzadmin role is employee has no access to those things set on the X > Settings > Permissions area. Theme Options and among other things are accessible on your site now.

Have a nice day,
Cheers!

Hello @friech,

thank you very much! During my investigation I was already in the permissions settings because I did wonder about the Members plugin (to my mind unneccessary).

Have a nice week!

Best regards

We are delighted to assist you with this.

Cheers!
