Theme elements distorted/corrupted after change in hosting provider

Hi there,

I am using the Renew stack and recently changed hosting providers.
Since moving over to the new host and purchasing an SSL certificate, I am experiencing 2 main issues:

  1. An awkward white space between the topbar and the logobar
  2. Site title showing in addition to logo in the logobar
  3. Row elements on my home page are not displaying as intended. They are showing up stacked on top of each other rather than side by side.
  4. Logo and navigation no longer centralised
  5. Downward facing arrows indicating sub-nav items not showing well
  6. On page buttons have lost their padding
  7. Promo elements not displaying well

Wondering whether you could assist with fixing this for me?

Thank you!

Hey there,

We’re sorry but fixing migration issue is outside the scope of our support but we could point you out to some possible solutions. Please try reinstalling X first by deleting the x folder in your themes folder and upload the installable zip and unzip it there. If you’re not sure how to unzip it inside your server, please contact your host to assist you.

Thanks.

Hi there,

I have uninstalled the theme through my wordpress dashboard and uploaded the zip through my host server.
This has not made any difference.

Any other solutions you would use?

Thanks,

Taf

Hi Taf,

Upon checking, I can see you are no longer using xtheme.

Kindly install and activate it again so we can help.

Thanks

Hi Paul,

Sorry - I have now re-installed and activated the theme.

Hopefully you will be able to help.

Thank you!

Taf

Would you mind giving us FTP access so we could take a closer look and also would ask permission to reinstall X?

Thanks.

Not a problem, you can reinstall X.
FTP details attached.

Thanks,

Taf

This has something to do with your security setup. I tried deactivating Wordfence but your site went down so I reverted my changes. Did you also use Cloudflare and did other optimizations in the past?

Thanks.

Thanks for taking another look Christian.
With our migration, we added an SSL certificate, Cloudflare, Wordfence, Fail2Ban.
We didn’t have any optimisations in the past.

Our host has temporarily removed Wordfence and disabled Cloudflare till we have amanaged to fix the theme.

Please go ahead and see whether this helps?

Thank you!!

Taf

Hello Taf,

As it turns out, your domain is using CloudFlare’s DNS. You will have to login to your CLoudFlare account and disable the minify feature of CSS and JSS under the Speed settings tab. For best results, please follow this suggested CloudFlare settings: https://xthemetips.com/using-cloudflare-rocket-loader-with-x-pro-and-x5/928/

Please let us know how it goes.

Thank you RueNel. That did the trick! The site is now back to normal now.

Thanks a bunch!!

Taf

Hey Taf,
