TheEventsCalendar events list not working in PRO

Hi there,

First, I am aware that you recommend MEC, but we have all events already in TheEventsCalendar, and are very happy with it. Moving everything to MEC, and achieving the same look and feel, would really be a last resort option.

TheEventsCalendar works great with PRO, except for the List/Calendar view, which shows as only as a strange excerpt. The problem is really the PRO theme, if I switch to TwentyNineteen, or the originally used Sunspot theme, all looks exactly as it should.

Under PRO, I get a few lines that look like an excerpt (attached), and the page source code confirms it, see below.

Do you have any idea what the problem might be, or, more importantly, how to fix it?

Just tested the issue in a completely new WP installation, added PRO, added TheEventsCalendar plugin, added one event, it looks as expected with the default theme, with PRO the problem is exactly the same: In the default /events/list, only an excerpt is shown.
Should be straightforward to reproduce, I hope.

Thanks for reaching out.

Perhaps it’s due to template conflict. It’s just that the other theme doesn’t have it, hence cleaned. But it’s something we can’t remove from our end since it will remove the intended features we added.

But, the good news is, you can change your The Events Calendar template. Please go to Admin > Events > Settings > Display and change Events Template from Default Page Templates to Default Event Templates. Perhaps its default template should be its own template instead of page template.
