The video header is gone in the mobile device version

Dear Sir/Madam,

Again, thank you so much for your work and effort for your work.

I use the video header for many pages, but in my mobile device(Iphone) and other i tried, the video header cannot be displayed. Is there any way to make the video header be shown in my mobile devices?? Besides, what is the function of the"poster background image"

Thank you very much and best wishes

Tianze

Now i set up the "poster"image, that it can be displayed in the mobile devices, but I would like the video to be displayed in the mobile device, and how should it work?

Thank you!

Tianze

Hello Tianze,

Thanks for writing in!

By default, all mobile browsers will disable any videos automatically. Even if you background video is set to Autoplay, in smaller screens, the video will still be disabled and will not play. This is where the poster image will come in. The role of the poster image is to replace the video with a static image instead.

Hope this helps.

Dear Ruenel,

Thank you very much for your reply.

Is there any way to play it on mobile device automatically?

Thank you again.

Best wishes

Tianze

Hi Tianze,

No, unfortunately, that is the decision of the cell phone manufacturers in both Android and iOS. Their reasoning is that the autoplay feature of the video might force pricey data usage.

Thank you for your understanding.

Thank you very much! Christopher!

You’re welcome
