The Plugin "Modern Events Calendar Lite" has been removed from wordpress.org

It looks like Modern Events Calendar Lite has been permanently removed from wordpress.org.

In the past I’ve observed this as a precursor to plugin vendors going out of business entirely, or massive security risks being exposed in both the paid and free versions of the plugin so this concerns me.

Do you have any insight into the situation to add? For those of us using the bundled version of Modern Events Calendar which comes with Pro theme, should we be planning ahead to switch to an alternative calendar in the near future?

This is just a lite version of the Modern Events Calendar but the main version will always be there. You can find alternative plugin that do the same functionality but the decision is on your hands.
