The last X update (3.3.6) ruined my site layout

Upgrading to X 6.3.6 removed all of my parallax images, removed container (ie the text goes flush to the edge of the screen) and messed up the text boxes.

I didn’t change anything else but now my site (http://www.bourgase.com) looks like garbage.

In the editor, everything is now a text box that contains code like:

[custom_headline type=“left” level=“h1” looks_like=“h1”]Personal Profile[/custom_headline]

Instead of the headline element.

How do I undo this?

Hello @coachbrock,

Thanks for writing in! This is because we have change the WP Bakery integration and turn it off by default. Go to WPBakery Page Builder Settings > General and make sure “Legacy X Integration” is enabled. A common request we get is to not overwrite parts of the WPBakery Page Builder. We are committed to keep supporting sites from the early days of X where Visual Composer was our page builder but we’ve consolidated all that integration code under one setting. It used to be enabled by default, but you will now need to opt-in to using it.

Hope this helps. Please let us know how it goes.

Thanks for the tip. It seems to be working again. Have a great day.

You’re welcome!
We’re glad we were able to help you out.
