The Grid Twitter Images

Hi team,
Have just added a Twitter feed through The Grid and it’s not displaying any images.
Is there an additional setting that we need to add in either The Grid or through the Twitter developer dashboard?
page is https://leighbaker.com.au displaying the feed from twitter @leigh_baker
Have tried deactivating the other social feed plugin on the page, though it has no effect.
The tweet images are all from links as far as I can tell, though they display in the Twitter web client, so not sure why they wouldn’t be brought through.

Hi @rangestech,

Thanks for reaching out.

I don’t see any code related to cover image, perhaps you assigned a skin to your grid the one without cover image? Please provide your admin login credentials and I’ll check ti directly.

Thanks!

Yep, me either - hence my ticket.
It’s assigned to the Panama standard skin which has the image and hover effects.
Look forward to hearing why!

Hello @rangestech,

We wanted to check your site using the give credentials. It is not working for us and we received this note:

INSECURE PASSWORD: Your login attempt has been blocked because the password
you are using exists on lists of passwords leaked in data breaches. Attackers use such
lists to break into sites and install malicious code.
Please reset your password to reactivate your account. Learn More

Please have the password updated so that we can login. Meanwhile, please edit your grid and change the skin and see how it goes.

Cool - haven’t seen that one before!
Password updated - check the secure note.
I have changed the skin several times - no change

Hi @rangestech,

It seems to be permission related and your site or app isn’t permitted to get the media. Could you try authenticating it again https://developer.twitter.com/en/docs/basics/apps/guides/callback-urls, https://developer.twitter.com/en/docs/basics/authentication/overview/3-legged-oauth

The grid also hasn’t specific documentation for this so please provide the twitter login credentials (the one with developer access) so I could check it directly. Or please contact a twitter developer.

Thanks!

Thanks Rad - it’s a strange one, and I can’t see any specific instructions for mapping the twitter callback url
I can’t imagine that this should be a difficult one - surely this is a pretty common use case with Pro/The Grid?

Hi @rangestech,

This isn’t related to the theme but permission between the grid and twitter, since it requires a developer API and permission then it’s something we can’t directly control. This is also my first time seeing this issue, it’s also working fine from the author’s demo https://theme-one.com/the-grid/twitter/

All we could do for now is continue checking but since we have no access to the API and developer account then we can’t really do anything right now. But I’ll continue checking to see if I can reproduce it on my end.

Thanks!
