The Grid - title showing up in description

Hi there,

We’ve noticed that in some of the blog posts, the title is showing up in the description of the post. That’s been happening only with some of the more recent blog posts, while the old ones remain as they should, without the duplicate title.

You can see that here, where the title shows up from the post “Animal Husbandry: Head and Mouth” all the way to the newest blog post, while “Animal Husbandry: " Paw Tactile & Nail Trims” is showing up correctly. We haven’t been able to figure out what went wrong there, so any help is appreciated.

Hi @INcroatia,

Thank you for writing in, I checked and compared the posts and I did not see anything different, except the text copy of posts from ANIMAL HUSBANDRY: HEAD AND MOUTH to newer are not wrapped in paragraph <p> tag, while the older are wrap with <p> tag. You might have installed or done something recently that affected this.

If wrapping <p> tag did not work, a workaround would be adding your post excerpt manually

Cheers!

Thanks @friech - adding the manual excerpt did it. However, beforehand we didn’t have to add it, so we’re not sure what happened. Could it have been cause by the Pro update?

Hi @INcroatia,

Yes, it could be, but the thing is, the WordPress generated excerpts are the first couple words of a post and since you added those headlines on your post content those are included on the auto-generated excerpts (which it should), this is why having a manual excerpt resolve this issue.

Thanks,
