The grid slider custom link for each slide

Hi, I’ve need to have in The Grid a slider of images with a custom link for each one. I have to link them to a different portion of an another one-page.

I have thought to use Slider Revolution, but I still have need the overlay color effect with title like the other sliders in the page. You can see them here: https://lesgomines.it/

Let me know how I can achive this result.

Thanks for reaching out.

You can change the alternate URL of your post, for example, let’s say you have Hello World post. Then edit your Hello World and scroll it down and find this section

Then simply add the alternate link with hash, and the hash is the ID of a section within your target page. Let’s say you’re linking it to thrid section of your Hello World post with the ID of try-this. Then the alternate URL that you’ll add is http://example.com/hello-world/#try-this

You can add ID to your target by going inspecting it and going to Customize area.

And if I would like to have different skin inside a single slider? For example a slide with featured image and excerpt and another slide with only excerpt (in another font).

Maybe, I’ve understand: I can use a custom skin for every post in the same way I’ve assigned a custom link, is it correct?

But if I would like to assign a skin based on a particular category? Is it possible?

Hi,

Regretfully, that is not possible.

The grid only allows you to select a skin for each post type, not for individual post.

If you allow me, this is not correct. I have tried and in every single post there’s the possibility to choose a skin, so, yes, I can choose a skin for a post with a specific category.

The image below refer to a single post. The Grid mask let you choose also the skin to apply.

Hello Alessandro,

Please understand that the skin is applied to the grid. In a grid, you can display a post or several posts. A skin cannot be applied to a particular post and have a different skin to a different post category. You will have to set up several grids and each grid can have different skins.

Hope this explains it briefly.
