The Grid: Setting Media Content to Open in Lightbox or Modal

Using the Grid Plugin, is it possible to set each content item in a grid to open up in a modal/lightbox? I ask because I’d like to pull in images from my media library and, upon clicking each content item, show the respective data points, related to that image, in a modal/light box (ex. image description, title, captions, etc). Same goes for posts - pull in my posts and display more detailed information from that post in a modal/lightbox upon click (ex. excerpt or description, etc.)

Any guidance you can provide in achieving this would be greatly appreciated!
