The Grid search bar not showing all results on the same page

We were notified that the search option on this page doesn’t really work as it should.

When we went in to see what the issue could be, we found out that if you type in a word in the search bar - let’s say “winter” - you will get 1 result on the first page, but if you are to go to page number seven and write “winter” in the search bar again, you will have 5 new results which did not appear on the first page alongside with that 1 result.

What we would like to figure out is how to have all of the blog posts with the relevant search phrase appear on the same page.

Hey @INcroatia,

That is normalt as The Grid’s search is just superficial. That means it will just search what is available in the page and not the available posts.

What you want is an AJAX search feature and it is not available in The Grid. It’s possible using the Essential Grid. Here’s the instruction to setup search https://www.themepunch.com/essgrid-doc/grid-item-sort-search/.
