The Grid not displaying as desired in Chrome

My homepage product grid is displaying as desired in Safari but not displaying or functioning correctly in Chrome. Please view the below URL in both browsers and tell me what is going on. Please note that it was working as desired prior to the recent Pro update.

Hi there,

Thanks for writing in.

It’s seems to be okay and you probably seeing a cache version of your site. I do see RocketLoader ad your asset files are served through CloudFlare. Could you try purging your CF cache then your chrome’s cache and test it again?

Thanks!

@Rad by “seems to be ok” do you mean it looks like this:

Chrome

Safari (Appearing correctly with full-width horizontal scrollable grid)

and the counters arestill at 0:

Chrome

Safari (Appearing correctly)

This is after clearing the cache in Cloudflare and clearing Chrome’s browser cache… So I am confused with what you are seeing.

Please shed some light.

Paul.

Hi There,

That Gulmarg Ski Packages section looks fine on my end, both Chrome and FF. Please clear your Chrome’s cache, or use the Incognito mode.

Chrome
FireFox

The issue with the counter is more likely related to the JavaScript, but your page is not giving any error on the console though.

Do you have any minifier plugin? Or maybe a caching plugin that has a minifier feature. If so, please deactivate the JS and CSS minification of those plugins.

CloudFlare has that minification feature (https://support.cloudflare.com/hc/en-us/articles/200168196-How-do-I-minify-HTML-CSS-and-JavaScript-to-optimize-my-site-) please disable it and then purge the entire caching again so CloudFlare will be force to regenerate the cache without minifying the JS and CSS.

Let us know how it goes,
Cheers!

Ok, I’ve cleared my cache and tried Here is my incognito window in Chrome. You can see that it is not displaying correctly still. Can you send me a link to clearing cache in Chrome in case I am missing something…

Regarding the minification, why would that be affecting one browser and not the other?

Hi there,

It’s because browser cache the minified files, and one browser could retain them even after cleaning. So yes, depending on browser’s handle the cache then they will appear differently. But it should be the same regardless of browser. Or

As of my end, it’s full-width and the counter works. What’s your browser version, and what OS (I’m on El Capitan)?

For the meantime, please try disabling the Rocket Loader from your CF. I see that caused issues more frequently since it affects the proper loading order of CSS and Scripts.

Thanks!

@Rad correct it seemed to be Rocket Loader from CF but was only affecting Chrome and not Safari.

Glad you’ve found the cause of the issue.
