The Grid bullet points - Strange behaviour when resizing browser windows

Hi,

we’re using The Grid and Pro to show a slide with bullet points. In our case there are two slides, so two bullet points.
But when resizing the browser window more and more bullet points appear. Sometimes three, sometimes more. We experienced this behaviour across many common browsers like Chrome, Firefox and Safari.

You can have a look for yourself here on our staging site. You’ll find the htaccess pass in security notes.

We’ve tried:

  • disable ALL other plugins
  • update to the newest versions of Pro and The Grid
  • use Pro theme without child and any modifactions
  • delete browser cache and use of incognito session
  • rebuild Grid with various settings

Thanks!

Hello Alexander,

Thanks for writing in!

Please edit your grid and make sure that you have not set 3 columns for specific screen sizes.

Hope this helps.

Hi, we’ve checked. It’s sadly not the case. They all set to 1.

Hi Alexander,

I can see the issue. Though there is a Countdown JS error on console. Can you remove that customization first while we are checking? We need to see it without that code/error. Then please do share us your wordpress credentials inside a secure note so we can double check your settings. Upon inspecting the source code, there is blank li tag that was added. We need to see where the code is failing.

I removed the countdown. The bullet point error’s still there.

You’ll find the wp credentials in security note. Thanks!!

Hello Alexander,

I have logged in and investigated the issue. All the settings seems correct. Please keep in mind that the browser resize simulation is not that accurate because the bullets will need the slider to initialize first before displaying the bullets.

The correct way of testing the grid is to resize your browser first and then refresh the page. You will see that the bullets will display correctly.

Hope this makes sense.

We already know this. So there’s no solution. But thanks for you to try!

You’re always welcome Alexander!

Cheers.
