The Grid and Woocommerce in PRO theme - disable alternative image

Hi!

We are building a webshop using Pro theme, Woocommerce and The Grid plugin. We have one issue with The Grid that we cannot solve:

When a woocommerce product is shown in The Grid it always has a hover effect where it chooses to swap out the main image with the 1st alternative product image in that product’s gallery.

Example, see the hover effect here - link in secure note.

There is nothing in the documentation for the The Grid that mentions how to turn this off and I have tried every single option.

Can you help with how to turn off this hover effect?

I have checked your site and all looks normal. Can you provide to us some screenshot about the issue and your WP credentials in a secure note?

Hi! Yes, the site works perfectly there is nothing wrong as such. But if you hover over a grid item you will notice that The Grid changes the media image of the grid item to #1 alternative image for the Woocommerce product.

We really want to disable this hover feature, it is built into The Grid code for Woocommerce products but we would really like to disable it. Any ideas how we can do this?

Thank you! That does cure it so to speak, but I would much prefer not to cure it via hiding it in css - the extra images are still loading, doubling the load time of the entire page (2 x images per product). So we are really looking for a way to disable this before it even gets loaded.

We switched to the Essential Grid plugin and discovered it had what we needed :slight_smile:

We can close this case :slight_smile:
