The body contents of an accordion from the bottom of the page is also displayed on the top after the latest update

Hi Themeco,

I just updated to the latest version of Wordpress as well as the theme x. However, after updating to the latest version has created some unexpected results. The contents of the body of an accordion that is at the end of the page is also displayed on the top of the page and I can’t figure it out.

Some help needed ASAP. this is happening across the website and 99% of the pages on the website has the same template.

The problem can be viewed here: https://www.sublimeflavors.com/recipes/jackfruit-coconut-curry/
This can be viewed in all the recipe pages.

Hey @sublimedesigns,

This issue is likely coming from your recipe plugin or some custom code in your child theme. Please do the following first:

  1. Testing For Plugin Conflict
  2. Child Theme
  3. Css/Js Customization

Only if none of that helps, please give us the following info in a Secure Note.

  • WordPress Login URL
  • Admin username and password

You can find the Secure Note button at the bottom of your posts.

Thanks.

Hi @christian
Thanks for the response.
There is no recipe plugin. All of it is just customised X theme.
I tried deactivating some plugins including those that come with the X theme. Nothing worked.
I am using a child theme and customisation with some custom shortcodes.

The problem is using a custom shortcode in the body of the accordion. All the other custom shortcodes are working just fine across the website and even this shortcode works perfect elsewhere in the website. . It is misbehaving only in the body of the accordion.

In the preview, the accordion body shows up even if the accordion is closed. On opening the accordion, the body is empty but the all the contents are already displayed below the body. While on the live page, the accordion body contents are displayed on top of the page.

This happens only with the shortcode. The same shortcode works perfectly fine elsewhere. also it works perfectly fine if the shortcode is replaced with plain text.

Hello! I have the same bug after the latest update.

Hey @sublimedesigns,

It is an issue with the [nutrition_display] shortcode. Please contact the shortcode developer to follow WordPress coding standards. That is the only info we can provide. We can’t go deeper than that as this is not a theme nor a builder issue as WordPress shortcodes like the Gallery shortcode work fine.

@bolvinov, the cause might be the same on your end. Contact the shortcode developer to make the shortcode work inside the Accordion element. This is not a theme nor a builder issue as I’ve tested several WordPress shortcodes and they work fine.

Please note that it doesn’t mean our theme or builder has a bug because a 3rd party plugin or shortcode doesn’t work anymore. 3rd party codes need to be updated too.

Thank you for understanding.

Hello @christian,

Thanks for your support. The shortcode was buggy before, and it showed up with the new update.
It has been fixed now. Thanks a lot for pointing it out. I am surprised that it was somehow working all this while.

You’re welcome, K

Bug was in shortcode, thank you a lot!

Hi @bolvinov,

Glad that you are able to find the cause of the issue.

Thanks
