Text Type - Start when in view

Hey Guys.

Could any of you point me in the direction of implementing some js code to start the text type feature when it comes into view?

The text type I’m using features down the page, so by the time someone gets to it, it has already typed out.
(It’s only typing out once and staying there.)

Regretfully, providing custom code is outside the scope of our theme support. You may seek 3rd party developers to help you with your problems or you can avail One where we can answer questions outside of the features of our theme.

On the other hand, the only text type we have is the Classic Text Type element, you may try to use it.

Hi.

Sorry, perhaps I didn’t word my question correctly.
I am using the Classic Text Type element on my page (https://www.x3.flexi-hex.com/#mission)
but I just want to be able to have it start typing when it comes into the browser view, rather than setting a delay based on page load.

I’m sure one of you guys would know how to target that with a bit of JS.
I’m struggling a bit with it so could you ask one of your developers please?

Thank you for the clarification. Regretfully this isn’t a feature offered by X or Pro. It could be possible with custom development, but this would be outside the scope of support we can offer. You may wish to consult a developer to assist you with this. X is quite extensible with child themes, so there are plenty of possibilities.

I’m sorry but I didn’t find your answer very supportive. Could you ask one of your developers to provide an answer, please?
Your support team used to help with things like this as it provided answers for all.
I’m sure I’m not the only one that would benefit from knowing this.
Otherwise, it makes the text type feature rather limited and pointless doesn’t it?

Hey Aaron,

We do not provide theme customization as part of our product support. We did go above and beyond in the past but a lot of customers abuse our service. I hope you understand our position also.

The solution for your case, for now, is to use the Loop option so that by the time someone sees the Classic Text Type, it would still be animating.

We respect your feedback that the Classic Text Type is limiting that’s why I’ll post this in our tracker as a Feature Request and our development team might consider adding the feature you need.
