Text suddenly centered

hi there,

since the v2 elements (or maybe somewhat later with some update) a strange thing was introduced: content keeps centering itself the moment i open cornerstone.
i saw this happening inside the accordion, quote and text element.
is this a known thing? how to prevent it from happening?

Hi There,

It might be you forgot to close the <center> tag in the text elements.

Would you mind providing us with login credentials(by clicking on the Secure Note button at the bottom) so we can take a closer look? To do this, you can make a post with the following info:

hi thai,

how can i forget to close the tag? i do not write my text in html. i use the themes elements and their text input.

i was referring to a handful of sites i am working on. it happens again and again.

it happens in the moment i open cornerstone to edit a page. i do nothing else!!!

is this the first time you heard of this problem?

I created a test page (in draft mode) to see if I can replicate the problem. I added Accordion and Text element but I don’t see text getting centred in Cornerstone. Please see recorded screencast. https://cl.ly/3T1q1d25252V

thanks a lot for testing!
but like i said. it is happening once in a while. it is not reproducable by doing something in a certain way. it just keeps happening once in a while. but then it is very annoying because i have to set the alignment for that element manually to “left” again.
do you know what i mean?

Hi Kai,

No we have not heard a bug about an element suddenly set as center align, we do see reports sometimes that there content become center align but those are all user error as they forgot to close an <center> tag or a missing closing bracket on a custom CSS block with a text-align: center; on it.

If you can provide us additional info on how we can replicate the issue so we can see it first hand, that would be of a great help.

thanks a lot for an explanation that i can understand! :wink:
i am sorry to say that i cannot reproduce it for sure in any way. it just keeps happening.
one day some content was just centered in the accordion element. before i did any text edits. and the same with text elements and the quote element.
what is the default setting in the quote element? centered? because it was centered from the start on my latest project. url see above in the secure note.
i am fairly sure it started after the last update of x/pro.
i will gladly give you more information the moment i can!

I could see that you set the text center under tex-align option:

That’s the reason make the text quote center.
