You may have resolved the issue already. In case you want to display a presentable excerpt and not the dynamically generated one, you may need to edit each of the respective posts and insert a manual excerpt. Manual Excerpts are optional hand-crafted summaries of your content that can be used in your theme. Learn more about manual excerpts here.
