‘Text Format’ section seems to be missing in Cornerstone

I have been trying to solve two issues.

1. I would like to use the “flexible text” options to set a column to a fix width…I am confused as sometimes I see this and then sometimes i don’t. I need to have text at 75% of the screen regardless of the device. can you help?

2)I have researched and found the below response for a similar question. Its solution is not working for me. I have attached a photo of what is happening.

" Thank you for writing in, two things I can think of why you don’t see the text formatting section on your text/headline element.

First, if you are using a Classic Text or Classic Headline element which has limited options. The font, color, and other styling of this classic elements are controlled generally in the Theme Options > Typography

It is also possible that you’re using the (new) Text/Headline element but the Advance Mode option is not enabled. In Cornerstone see Settings > Preferences > Advanced Mode"

Thank you for writing in, the Text Element and Headline element has a max-width option. set that to 75%

Another solution is if you have multiple elements, set the max-width on the ROW instead

thank you for that response. this has not fully helpped with #1. I now have the “text” at 75% but it is placing it in the 75% left and leaving 25% to the right…how do i center it?? I have tried to center the row, the column and the text…I want it to have the 25% split on left and right…how do i fix this? Also in the fix above - this seems to only be an option that i can find in the “text” but where is it in the “classic text” or “classic row”?

#1] Once you have turn Off the global container and set the maximum width, you will have to enable the margin option as well and set the left and right margins to auto.

#2] What is the issue with the text element? Can you please explain your issue a little further?
