Text element edit arrow obscured

Hello,

  • I made a text component
  • I allow it to be popped out for text editing
  • Normally there’s an arrow I can click to pop out the editor
  • In this case the image obscures the arrow, so I can’t now edit the content

The arrow needs to be placed somewhere else, or the Z index adjusted?

Happy Tuesday, Bill.

Here’s the same component with the arrow showing - I deleted the image

Actually I realise now, it’s not obscured, it was missing completely. I still don’t know why though.

Hi Bill,

Thanks for reaching out.
You are using the Classic text Element which has that Arrow. I would suggest you use the Text element instead.

Thanks

Hello @tristup - you need to spend more time researching tickets.

I stopped using ‘classic’ elements years ago since V2 elements arrived.

What you can see is a COMPONENT mis-behaving, it ought to show the Edit arrow but doesn’t.

I’m sure this will be hard to debug as it’s not easily reproduced.

But please don’t throw me a response which wastes my time. It even says COMPONENT in the screen shot.

Best wishes, Bill.

Hi Bill,

I have created a component with the Text and Classic Text element and my reply was based on that only. If the Text element is coming with the Arrow in your component it might be a specific case that we need to investigate through the WordPress admin dashboard. I would request you please provide login credentials for your site in a secure note to examine it further, including:

– WordPress Site URL & Login URL
– WordPress Admin username/password
– Specific component where you have added this.

To create a secure note, click the key icon underneath any of your posts.

Thanks
