Text & Custom Header Margin spacing - Retained Gap

Hi Team

Just wonder why there’s still a decent sized gap between my text and a custom headline when I’ve input ‘mbn’ on the text, and ‘mtn’ on the Custom Headline.

Text - mbn:

Custom Headline - mtn:

Theoretically, shouldn’t this close the cap completely?

Note: have tried saving and opening in live page, rather than Cornerstone, to no avail.

Cheers,
Sam

Hi There,

Please add the following CSS under Customizer > Custom > Global CSS:

.x-text p {
margin-bottom: 0;
}

Hi Thai

Thanks for that, however, I’m not really looking for the CSS to amend this.

I’m looking to understand what the reasoning is behind why there’s still a gap when the classes are input (margin top none, margin bottom none) so as to suggest there shouldn’t be a gap - without the use of manual CSS?

Thanks
Sam

Hi Sam,

By default Text element is autop. Then paragraph tag has default 1.313em bottom margin. The content inside the text element is wrap by a container. Mbn class will work on the text container, while in fact the bottom margin is on the p tag inside this container. See this: https://screencast-o-matic.com/watch/cbQIInIofw
