Text Color / Customizer / Inherit Problems

My question seems silly – but how in the world do I get the text element to inherit colors?

Here is my issue:

• In the Customizer > Theme Options > Typography > Body and Content > I set the text color to Brown.
• When I leave the Customizer and edit a page with Pro, I add a text element, but the text element is defaulting to black.
• I can manually change the text element from black to brown, BUT this prevents me from making site-wide changes without having to add custom CSS.

Is the only way to change the font color of the text element through custom CSS? I would like to be able to do it through the Customizer.

Thanks for writing in! When you set a body color under theme options, it will affect to the standard elements but not V2 elements.

For example if you add a classic text element, it will inherit the font color that you have set under your theme options.

Since V2 elements has it’s own local settings, you need to set a default color manually when adding those elements.
