Text changes in H2 make strange text appear above header

Hi!

Been using x theme for years now and am very pleased with it.

I’ve now run into an issue that has me stumped.

For some reason, when I make certain changes on a page (simple text changes), some seemingly random characters appear at the top of the page, above the nav bar. To be more specific, I’m changing some text in the H2.

I’ve already tried disabling all the plugins, to no avail.

Changing the theme to 2019, seems to remove the issue, which is why I’m posting here.

I’d appreciate any thoughts or suggestions you might have on what might be causing this.

Hi @FreekR,

You can try the following.

1. Activate your parent theme. This is to test if something in your child theme is causing the issue.
2. When I checked your site, cornerstone is not installed. Please note that cornerstone plugin is needed for the theme to work correctly. You may navigate to X> Validation Page and cornerstone will be installed automatically.
   You can also install it manually if you like, the plugin file is located inside your theme at wp-content/themes/x/framework/cornerstone.zip

Thanks for your reply, good ideas.

1. Activated parent theme. Issue persists.
2. Yes, it was temporarily disabled to see if it had any effect. Re-enabled now.

Anything else I can try?

I’ve figured out the issue.

I’ve commented out the script from the content and the issue has gone:
