Testimonials Not Working

I can seem to be able to add text or anything to a new testimonial. Please help.

You could achieve the simple testimonials slider by using the Classic Slider element and Blockquote shortcode:

If possible can you please help me do it the way I used to do it. I haven’t used TESTIMONIALS in a long time so I am not sure how it works.

I used to be able to go to Testimonials on the WordPress home page,then I click on TESTIMONIALS and then ADD NEW. Then I think I would slide the FIELD and VIEWS downwards and add whatever text I wanted (see below)

Now when I try to slide any element downwards, it does not go. I can’t even type in the field.

Please help.

Hey @Torah541,

X and Pro does not have a Testimonial post type. Are you using ACF Pro for it? If not, please contact the plugin developer of the Testimonials plugin. If you’re using a custom code, please contact a third party developer to investigate because we do not have third party plugin and custom code support.

If you are using the Classic Editor plugin, please deactivate it and also try testing for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.

The issue was conflict with the plugin Yoast. When I uninstalled Yoast the issue went away.

I see, glad it’s okay now and thanks for sharing. And for that, you may contact the plugin author to see if there are any possible workaround while having Yoast active. Thanks!
