Tesla style homepage (pointers/help needed)

Hi All,

I am looking at updating my business website to a style similar to tesla.com. I am a Pro Theme User. What I am looking to recreate is the following:

  1. Similar main menu (with the possible added side hamburger menu). I assume utilizing the Header should allow me to achieve this relatively easily;
  2. The main menu to overlay one full-size image that resizes based on the window. (Alternatively, I would love to have a carousel of images that I could have added text/call to actions…perhaps the Grid? I am trying to refrain from using the revolution slider as it makes editing more difficult and the text isn’t searchable);
  3. Sliding down would go to another full-size image with some other text and call to action.

I look forward to your pointers, ideas, and help on this.

It looks like they used a magic scroll effect. Sorry. No idea how without some research, but usually it’s through css and javascript. Since they call theirs a pan-able carousel, it might give an idea about how to find a tutorial or a plugin.

It’s possible that the panorama settings that come with our theme could be modified to work with the mouse’s movment rather than depend on a downward scroll of the browser.

I’ve never used any of the other sliders that come with the theme, but it’s possible one of those could work as well.

The Model S title doesn’t change sizes on my browser, so it’s probably just centered and positioned relative to other elements. It looks like the other elements are modified or hidden through media queries in CSS.

They’re also not using wordpress (used an online CMS finder for that info).

Hi @SIB- Thank you for your reply. I agree that the titles / menu for the most part should be pretty straight forward.

As for the initial image I have two options there. The first is to have one responsive image that spreads the whole window with the menu on top and perhaps some text/call to action. The second would be to have a carousel on which I can overlay the menu and some text/call to actions.

Any thoughts on how to get started on any of it?
