Template feature – request/idea

hello,

templates in pro are very great and i work with them every day.

it would be very great to have these extended options:
. change name of template
. change content of template
. when choosing a template to insert it would be fancy to have a preview or a preview page (e.g. with all templates)

Hi Oli,

Thanks for reaching out.
You can change the name of the Template by saving it as a separate template. To do so, you need to load the specific template on a page and save that as a new template.

You can also change the content of the existing template in a similar way explained above. But unfortunately, there is no way to add a Preview image for the custom templates. I will check and if possible will add this as a feature request.

yes, thanks for the notice. but then i need to delete the other template. could make a mistake.
more i need to find the part of the template in a page or need to create a blank page put the template there
save it again. instead of just renaming it or editing it and save.

would be very great to have a renaming and edit of a template in a future version.

Hey Oli,

If you go to Cornerstone > Templates, you can double-click on the template name. A blue cursor will appear which allows you to rename the template.

You can not edit a template though. You will have to Load it to a page first, do the edit and save the template using the same name to overwrite the previously saved template.
