Template called 'our quick access' is broken after Update

Hi guys I had lots of photos and text about the staff in our company on this page but they are all missing. In Cornerstone it states ‘undefined element-might need to activate a plugin’ yet all updates are done and activated.

I just realised its to do with the template called ‘starter:our quick access’.
Can you advise please?

I tried to backup the site using the Updraft plugin so I could roll back wordpress but it wont back up. I hope its just this template that is the issue.

Hi @brian_manning,

Thanks for reaching out.

Thanks I added the secure note login details now.

Hi Brian,

I’ve checked your site and have identified what’s happening here. You’re using the Grid element which is a Pro exclusive feature, but unfortunately it was mistakenly included in a few versions of Cornerstone. Our products are cut from the same codebase and usually those files are removed but weren’t until the recent update when the bundle worked successfully. I apologize for the situation this puts you in, and that can’t presently edit the content you built.

We can help advise on how to rebuild the content using Rows/Columns, or if you want you can convert your X license to Pro for free in your dashboard. Once Pro is installed, you would just need to change Template: x to Template: pro in style.css of your child theme to fully make the switch. At that point you’d have the Grid element back and access to other features like our Header and Footer builders.

Thanks a lot!
I upgraded to Pro and changed the styl.css to Pro but nothing has changed. Will it take some time to propogate?

Kind regards,
Brian.

Hello Brian,

I have inspected the site’s theme and it seems that you have not uploaded the Pro theme and edited the child theme’s style.css yet. To better assist you with your issue, kindly provide us access to your site so that we can check your settings. Please create a secure note with the following info:

Thank you Ruenel, I created the secure note above. Please proceed.

edit: I think I uploaded the Pro theme now but dont know how to activate the child theme. Thanks!

Hi Brian,

Unfortunately the login URL redirected to the 404 page. Can you please check and let us know once it is accessible.

Thanks

Strange. Ill add it again now in another secure link. But its merely our website follwed by /wp-admin.
Thanks Brian.

Hello Brian,

I tried to access your site dashboard but unfortunately, the given WordPress login URL and default login URL (your_dmain_name.com/wp-admin/) are taking to 404 pages can you please recheck and send us correct login URL. Please find the screenshot in the secure note.

Thanks

Thats so strange. It works for me.

**** - I just logged in using this URL so it definitely works.

If it doesnt work again, could you give me instructions how to get the child theme for X pro and do it myself please? I cant find any videos online how to upgrade from X to Pro.

Kind regards,
Brian.

Hi @brian_manning,

1.) The first thing you need to do is download the Pro theme in your themeco account.

2.) Then upload it to your website and activate it then you need to delete your cornerstone plugin because Pro has a built-in cornerstone.

3.) Then follow what my colleague said about changing the Template from X to Pro in your child theme style.css.

Hope that helps.

Thank you.

Ah, I used the stable version of Pro instead of the latest version. All fixed now. thanks!
So, theres no need for a child theme now I am using Pro?

Hello @brian_manning,

You may use the child theme if you add custom PHP coding or template overrides so that when there is a Pro theme update, your customizations will not get overwritten with the updates. You can get the Pro Child theme here: https://theme.co/docs/child-themes#child-theme-download

Best Regards.
