How can I target the map marker from a google map module to throw some CSS on it? I tried using .x-google-map-marker but the element is actually hidden.
Hey there,
There is no way to target the marker. It would require custom development which is outside the scope of our support.
Thank you for understanding.
That doesn’t make any sense…it’s an image that I added in your module separately from the map.
The Map and the elements inside it is powered by Javascript. You could not modify it with CSS. Please contact Google Maps support maybe they can give some guidance with map customization.
Thanks.
So there’s no way at all I can target this custom map marker that is an image put in through your theme’s module and not Google Maps?
Hello There,
You are correct. There isn’t a way to customized that marker because that data will be sent out to Google Maps through javscript and Google Maps will display the map information along with the marker in a iframe. Anything that is displayed in the map including the markers, all styles were rendered by Google Maps itself.
Thank you for your understanding.
