Tag in x_recent_posts to allow users to search that tag

Good morning, I use the following shortcode to display a set of blogs filtered by category:

I then added the following to the functions.php in the child theme to display the post tag above the post title:

However if I click on the tag name it does not take me to those tags, instead it goes to the blog post. What do I need to update to make this happen?

you are on the right path. The custom code of the recent posts shortcode is doing exactly correct linking to the single blog post. Displaying the tags does not have a link and the recent posts shortcode is designed and linke to exactly to the single blog post. See the element structure in the screenshot below:

Linking the tags and achieving what you have in mind requires more modifications to the code above. Please be aware the custom coding is already beyond the scope of our support. You may need to contact 3rd party developer if you are not comfortable with codes.
