Not sure when exactly the issue started, but I’ve just discovered that our tabs stopped working on this page: https://littlesprouts.com/athome/. We have not added any new plug-ins recently and everything appears up to date. Please advise.
Hi @littlesprouts,
Thank you for writing in, I’m seeing a JS error coming from the WordPress core file. Please make sure your WordPress is in the latest version (5.7.1).
If the issue persists, please do a Testing for Plugin Conflict, it’s possible that one of your plugins is causing the issue.
If the issue persists, please provide us login credentials on a “Secure Note” so we can take a closer look.
Cheers,
Hi @littlesprouts,
I suspect there’s a cache issue on your website because when I log in on your website, the tabs and the pictures in the tab are just working fine. I suggest that you clear any 3rd party cache associated with your website.
Hope that helps.
Thank you.
Yes, when I log in, it looks fine in the editor. However, on the live site, the tabs are not working . I’ve clearer our server cache and browser cache multiple times and also tested it on a separate laptop. Still not working??
Hello, @littlesprouts,
I checked your site’s dashboard it seems that there is some JS console error. It might be due to plugin conflict. I noticed that there is a mixed content issue as well. Please check the screenshot in the secure note.
For the mixed content issue
It seems that the URLs are not fully replaced while moving the site that might be causing the Mixed Content issue [ HTTP and HTTPS ] blocking to load JS/CSS for the tab slider.
You can also try out this arcticle on how to update the URLs when you are moving the sites.
Also, remember that the exact URL should be mentioned in Setting > General , WordPress Address and Site URL , including the protocol i.e HTTP/HTTPS.
For the JS console issue
I would suggest you troubleshoot with a few of the common issues.
- Testing For Theme Related Issue
- Testing For Plugin Conflict
- Theme Update
- Child Theme
- Css/Js Customization
- Increasing Php Memory Limit
- Disabling Cache
- Disabling Cdn
- Permalinks
- Version Compatibility
If it doesn’t work for you and the issue still persists please let us know.
Thanks
Thank you! I was aware of the mixed content issue and was just lazy in fixing that. It appears that the tabs issue was a plug-in conflict with Async JavaScript, which I do need to help with performance. But I did also install Autoptimize and that seemed to fix the issue. It’s odd, because Async JavaScript was ALWAYS there, so not sure why it suddenly caused an issue.
Really appreciate your help. Thank you! I do wish there was an easier way to see what plug-ins are causing the conflicts though.
Hi @littlesprouts,
Probably a recent update with Async JavaScript and WordPress causing it. Regretfully there is no easier way of doing the plugin test, you need to do the deactivating/reactivating thing, there is actually an advantage of that, it’s the most accurate plugin conflict test to do.
Cheers,
