One of my pages seems to have gotten ‘corrupted" and only displays in "skeleton mode’ - having browsed similar problems here in the forum, they seem to say the conflict with plugins, etc are global, this is only on one page. Any advice? The site is functioning fine - open-nys.org it’s onlty the ‘events’ page with the issue. Thanks.
Hey,
Would you mind providing us with login credentials so we can take a closer look? To do this, you can make a post with the following info:
– Link to your site
– WordPress Admin username / password
– FTP credentials
Don’t forget to select Set as private reply. This ensures your information is only visible to our staff.
Thanks, it seemed easier to just recreate the page rather than have you debug!
No problem, @mdain! If you happen to require further assistance with this, we’ll be happy to look into it with credentials provided.
A little information regarding this situation, if your content for the page is still available on the frontend and you simply can’t see the live preview in the backend, then it is likely not “corrupted,” but rather something is blocking the preview from being accessible in your content (which is why we force it to Skeleton Mode, allowing you to comb through and see what that might be).
This could be for many reasons like the page you’re working on not having the_content as a hook anywhere (which it sounds like it did as you were working on it previously), our builder JavaScript not loading, or a fatal PHP error occurring when the iframe loads the frontend into the builder. If your content is all still there in Skeleton Mode, it is likely due to some form of custom code or embed added that may be creating an issue.
When you were building the page, try to think back if it was working up until a specific point that you added something. Often times it can be a simple embed code creating a conflict, or a typo in a script. You could check any custom elements you have on the page as well as custom JavaScript you have in the page editor or the global editor for your installation.
Just some thoughts for you or anyone else who might encounter this in the future. Hopefully that helps to point you in the right direction…cheers!
