Surface Pro 4 issue on dropdown menu

I am using a Surface Pro 4 devise, Windows Pro 10 is my operating system, my browser is Google Chrome. I use all of the latest versions.

On my website using a mouse the issue is that I have to click twice on the nav buttons to go to the pages with a drop down menu. If I hover over the Client Service nav button, nothing happens (it use to display the drop down menu). If I click on that nav button once, it shows the drop down menu. I have to click on the Client Service nav button twice to get to the Client Services page…same as for the About Us and News & Events pages. On the nav buttons that do not have a drop down menu, they only require a single click to get to the page…it appears the rules are different between navigation with and without drop down menus.

Hi there,

Actually, that is the default behavior of the theme as the Surface Pro is a touch device. There is no Mouse Hover over touch devices and that is why you will see the drop-down on the first click and then the second click will actually link to the page.

You can test the same thing with a normal none touch laptop by enabling the Google Chrome Developer toolbar and enabling the responsive mode and set the device to be desktop touch:

Unfortunately, you will need to live with that while using the Surface Pro as we do not have any way to determine if there is a mouse which hovers or it is a touch one. For example, the same attributes are available for iPad Pro and it has a big screen as a desktop but it is completely touch base with no mouse.

Thank you for your understanding.
