Superfly Multiple Errors

This is a new installation of PRO with only 2 plugins (SuperFly & Query Monitor which was installed only to try to debug SuperFly).

When I go to PRO > VALIDATION > EXTENSIONS and install/activate SuperFly, I am getting an error as shown in this image:

sf error

The plugin is showing as activated but I have another issue with it. I’m trying to add an icon and I followed all instructions here http://superfly.looks-awesome.com/docs/Customize/Upload_Your_Icons

I am getting this error:

I saw a few vague references to this issue with some direction to remove and re-install the plugin which I tried. I also went to FTP to fully remove the plugin. None of that fixed the issue. I am unable to see any default icons and I can not add my own.

Thank you for your help.

Temp fixed it by using https://www.base64-image.de/ to convert to base64 and manually add it under BUTTON tab / ACCEPT CUSTOM ICON.

Still missing all of the icons that are on the server but not showing. Apparently, this has been going on for a while and I’m not the only one.

Is there a real fix for this?

Hello Stella Luca,

Thanks for writing in! The error File not writable means that you have permission issues. Please check your file permissions and for any restrictions. .zip file format may not be allowed in your WP setup. This article might help you:

Hope this helps.

I think the bigger issue is that none of the icons in the library that are supposed to be included with SuperFly are accessible at all. They are on the server in the right folder but they do not show up in the SuperFly menu or on the APPEARANCE > MENUS > “SF” option.

Also, I am missing the “X” button to close the menu page. It was there earlier but it has not disappeared. The only setting I see for that is X BUTTON COLOR on the MENU PANEL > GENERAL tab.

Hello Stella Luca,

I have investigated the issue further. In my local test server, I have WP 5.4.1, Twenty Twenty theme and only SuperFly menu plugin is active. I am experiencing the same. I cannot view the icon library even if I have successfully uploaded a new icon font library. The default icons which should be displayed is not present as well. Therefore, this might be a bug between the latest plugin 5.1.4 and WordPress 5.4.x. I’ve submitted this to our issue tracker so the developers of the plugin will be made aware of it. They should look and investigate this issue further.

Please bear with us. Thank you for your understanding.

Thank you for at least not telling me I’m crazy. I appreciate the help!

You are most welcome Stella.
