Superfly Menu with 2 buttons on the same page

Is that possible? I have heard not… but I’d like to have two buttons on the same page top corners that open different side menus. Apparently however you can’t do that with Superfly as you can have just one button per page (a pretty big limitation if you ask me). I tried a combination also Ubermenu, but it also integrates not so seamlessly with Superfly.

So, I’d like to know which are my options and if there is some sort of Wordpress plug-in out there that allows you to do something like this?

Thanks in advance!

Hi There,

That is not possible to display different menus on the same page with Superfly. If you choose the same page for different menu sources under Superfly menus then you’ll see one menu that was added earlier.

You can take a look at this: http://superfly.looks-awesome.com/docs/Getting_Started/Using_Multiple_Menus

To add more menu like SuperFly, you can try with this plugin:

https://demo.responsive.menu/

Hope it helps

Hi there Thai,

Thanks for chiming in. Now, following your advice, I’ve managed to have two different menus on the same page and they also look and behave kind of similar, I’m just struggling with another issue at the moment…

Basically, the problem is how the menu list alignment inside the menu container is handled by each plug-in… I tried a few CSS tricks, but apparently I cannot really manage to have them align the items in the same way. I would need either Superfly to align the items right-top without much padding, or Responsive Menu to align them centred vertically and horizontally. Do you have any idea how I could achieve that?

Thanks!

Hello Alberto,

Some custom CSS code might help with that. I tried to check the domain that is linked to the license in your account but there is a coming soon page active on the site.

Please provide us with the admin access to your site in a Secure Note so that we can check it:

I added the secure note you requested, please, check that up.

Hi Alberto,

Looks like it’s not possible with that plugin. Or maybe there are hidden settings that could fix it, I recommend contacting the plugin author and also check their documentations.

SuperFly do it automatically using javascript, and that another plugin hasn’t or maybe not just active.

Thanks!

Hi Rad,

In their documentation there is nothing in that regards, but I’ll try to contact them. Anyway, it would be great if you have any tip to try, if not for Responsive Menu, then at least for SuperFly… I mean if it’s not possible from the side of RM, maybe it’s possible to align the SuperFly’s menu elements on the top-right corner?

Thanks

Hey Alberto,

Since you are using Pro theme, why don’t you use the navigation collapse or the navigation layered element in your custom header. You can have two of this elements for both the left and right side of your site. You may also tweak your bar settings and container settings so that the navigation toggle for the said elements will be positioned at the far left/right of the header.

Hope this make sense.

Hey RueNel,

Yeah, it does make sense, the only thing I’m not sure about is that, whether I could then anyway customize the background of the navigation collapse or layered, or not. And if I could make the header in such a way that vertical space is just taken at sides of the page (where the actual buttons would be) and not in the central part too, as, as per design, it would be better for me, to have the central part completely uncluttered.

Thanks

Hi Alberto,

You could always change them,

As for SuperFly menu, I was refering to the syncing of position. They are completely different plugin that has its own responsive features, and even if you’re able to position the SuperFly items, it would still appear differently for each device compare to other plugins. And with SuperFly’s rich feature and library, it would easier to customize the simpler one and if there is available instruction from the plugin author.

Thanks!

Thanks for your reply Rad,

I see what you mean and it could be like you said that in the end, that’s going to be the easiest option. But so far I encountered 2 problems with that: firstly it seems like I cannot have a off canvas when I’m setting the header to the sides instead than on the top, secondly as content background for the off-canvas, I can just set colours and not images. Would you have any workaround for that?

Thanks

Hi Alberto,

Ah yes, you can’t have off canvas within a side headers since itself is a sidebar like off canvas. Looks like your current option is to use two plugin with the same features. Which unfortunately, it’s rare to see or implemented.

As for the background as image, yes, it has no feature like that.

I tried some to see if there are workarounds for off canvas in the sidebar but no luck. I’ll add this as feature request, your only current option is custom development of existing menu plugins.

Thanks!

Hi Rad,

I see, thanks for your answer anyway. I think now I partially solved this issued with a workaround… practically I added a transparent logo on top of the menu entries for the Responsive Menu plug-in and for now it seems to be working decently good. I also tried to ask the Responsive Menu team actually for a more appropriate solution, but funnily enough, they don’t seem to be very responsive.

Yes, please do that, it would a great feature to have and I suspect also quite some other people that desire deeper customization, would start really using it for their menus.

What you mean exactly for custom development, just adding CSS code to the right places, or something more?

Thanks!

It’s something more. It would also require Javascript.

Thanks.
