Superfly menu visibility

I have a couple websites where the trigger mechanism for the Superfly menu does not work in Firefox and Safari. We have cleared cache in the websites, browsers and disabled security plugins.

https://www.folsomchamber.com/ - *In the browsers mentioned the menu trigger is not visible on the HP or subpages. Both HP and SP’s use Rev Slider.

https://www.growjocomo.com/ - *In the browsers mentioned the menu trigger is not visible on the HP but is on subpages. Rev slider is used on HP but not SP’s.

Logic tells me it is an issue with Rev Slider of perhaps as easy as a z-index issue. Please advise.

Hi Keith,

Thank you for writing in and sorry that you’re having that issue, can you confirm that you have the latest supported version of Superfly, that is version 5.0.11.

You can refer for the Version Compatibility here.

If you have an outdated version, you might need to delete (or rename via FTP) your current old version since the update notification is not showing up, and then reinstall Superfly under (X or) PRO > Validation > Extensions

Remember to clear all your caching features (plugin, server-side, CDN, and browser’s cache) after updating so that the code from the latest release is always in use. This will help you to avoid any potential errors.

Let us know how it goes,
Cheers!

I followed your instructions and lost the entire menu. The area where it resides would no longer trigger my cursor when hovering like it did even when it was not visible. I just deactivated it and enabled the default menu. The client is not happy and neither am I. This has been used in multiple projects and all of them are having issues in Safari and Firefox when used in combination with Revolution Slider and the menu trigger is close to the slider. We have a lot of projects out there using the X theme. The update of Revolution slider and now Superfly are rocking our worlds here. Please advise so we can begin what ever process will be necessary to resolve these issues.

Thank you.

Hi Keith,

I understand your prostration, but I only advise is to update the Superfly to the latest supported version which you should already have to avoid conflicts. The disappearing Superfly menu (on some pages) issue is actually a common one and most of the time the culprit is an outdated version of Superfly.

Maybe you’re right that Rev Slider has something to do with the issue, but we can also see that it is working with Rev Slider at times, so maybe a caching is heavily involved in this. Would you mind CLEARING and deactivating all your caching features for while?

Please clone the site on a staging server, so you can do troubleshooting without affecting the live site.

Thanks,
