Hey,
I’ve blown about 8 hours trying to make superfly work before reaching out.
One icon shows up. I have done the same thing for every page/tag etc in the menu. I’ve emptied caches etc.
Can you let me know why this isn’t working on alexanderjarvis.com please?
The documentation on superfly is totally rubbish!
Thanks
Alex
Hey Alex,
Thanks for writing in! I have checked your site and I am seeing the SuperFly menu icon: http://prntscr.com/ftores
By the way, since you are using SiteGround, could you please clear your site cache or disable the supercacher in your hosting panel? The SuperCacher is developed by SiteGround exclusively for their customers. It increases the number of hits a site can handle and boosts the website loading speed. The SuperCacher includes 4 different caching options for maximum optimization of your websites. You can access the tool by clicking on the SuperCacher icon in your cPanel.
For more information about this, please check it out here: https://www.siteground.com/tutorials/supercacher/supercacher_intro.htm
Hope this helps.
Hi there,
FYI, one thing I have learnt is that Speed Booster plugin will not work with Superawesome (I presume asynchromous loading). I couldn’t figure out how to make the exclusions work. i only found one page where this was talked about but the instructions were non-existant.
The superfly menu works yes but that’s not what I was asking about. BUT the icons on every single page do not. Look at the menu
There is meant to be one of the yellow icons on every single link other than ~3 at the bottom where there are custom links. The same as next to learning centre.
I have turned off all cache (I have three levels), all plugins, cloudflare etc. I’m not turning off everything for a day while I wait. Why is it that one icon shows and none others? That doesn’t make sense. I flush all my cache every day. I’ve done it maybe 30 times to try make this menu work.
Thanks.
Alex
Hey Alex,
Please try testing for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.
If that doesn’t help, keep all third party plugins disabled and disconnect your site from Cloudflare for a moment as I see some issues in your site relating to it. Once we solve this issue, you can turn them back on again.
Thanks.
Hey mate,
Well isolated the problem!
I didn’t find it faster because I made a stupid assumption… that your recommended plugins worked
The issue is: Slider Revolution - Premium responsive slider - Version 5.4.5.1
So… is there a way to fix this?
What’s the issue with cloudflare? It looks like JS minification which is what Cloudflare is partly for? i don’t know what the SourceMap thing means.
Much thanks!
Alex
Hi there,
If the Revolution Slider and Superfly have the conflict with each other we will need to contact the developers of both plugins to follow up, as you may know already we are not authors of those plugins and can not meddle with their code, but we can report issues.
Please kindly stay tuned for the upcoming releases of the plugins which we will bundle in our theme. Kindly read the Bundled Version section of the article below to get familiar with our policy regarding bundled plugin versioning:
https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/extension-revolution-slider/71
Please kindly read this article regarding the CloudFlare integration and Themeco minification:
https://xthemetips.com/using-cloudflare-rocket-loader-with-x-pro-and-x5/928/
Source Map is for the development purposes and connects the development version of a JS file with the distributed minified version. Not an important factor in this case.
Thank you.
