Is there a way you could add something to the menu titles for page css/js customization and an element’s customize and element CSS to indicate that there has been something custom added? I find myself occasionally forgetting to check these on a page and element basis. Maybe simply change the color of the text or something?

Thank you for writing in, regretfully there is no feature to check if you added a custom CSS/JS to an element. You need to do that checking manually. You can use the Chrome browser Developer Toolbar or go directly to CSS/JS areas and check it there.
We would strongly advise avoiding customization as much as possible, Elements has most of the settings needed like text color, so you don’t need custom CSS for that.
