Suggest Background Feature

Hi. I am wondering if it will be possible to add some background features to Pro.

I know we currently have 3 background layers: main background which is only colour and two advance backgrounds which could be image, colour or even video. I must confess that I love this.

I want to suggest adding a third advance background to the two we have already or it’d be even better if the main background is edited to include image and video background.

More importantly: I was wondering if it’d be possible to add to the 3 background an option for gradient background.

Basically, I am suggesting 3 background layers with an option for either none, colour, image, video and gradient.

I know this is very possible for the amazing development team here at Themeco.

Please take a look into this carefully.

Thanks a lot.

Hi Barry,

Thanks for the suggestion. I have added this to our Feature Request list so that it will be considered in future developer. Please note that feature requests are discussed internally and we cannot provide any ETA when it will be release or if it will be added since it depends on the amount of request a feature gets.

Thank you.

Hmmm… Okay. Thanks.

For the main time this is what I want to achieve :point_down:t4:

I don’t know if it will be possible with custom CSS. I have tried some suggestions from the forum and even online but no way yet.

Please help.

I have achieved everything as in the photo above. What I need help on right now is the transparent gradient layer (2) that comes immediately after the lower layer (1)

I’ll be very excited to get this done + if the requested feature is added many people will find it easy because I have seen some persons asked for similar custom codes before.

Thanks again.

Hi Barry,

As of the moment, please check this thread on what is possible right now for gradient background. Other than that it is only possible with customization that is outside the scope of our support. Thank you for understanding.

Thank you so much.

I have seen that thread before and I have followed it before now. I just took my time to look around and saw that my Transparent Gradient comes before Lower Layer and Upper Layer.

Please, I want my Transparent Gradient to come immediately after the Lower Layer.

That is:

Main Background Layer
Lower Layer Image
Custom Transparent Gradient Layer
Upper Layer Image

Please, how do I go about it?

Thanks a lot.

Hi Barry,

Please be aware that we can only provide support for features that are currently available. There are only three layers present right now for adding a background to sections or container elements. It will require some more customization to achieve what you are trying to do which goes beyond the scope of our support.

But to get you started, you might want to check out CSS pseudo elements such as ::before and ::after.

https://www.w3schools.com/css/css_pseudo_elements.asp

Try making use of those and place them inside the lower and upper layer to add the gradients.

If you are unsure how to proceed, it would be best to get in touch with a developer.

Hope this helps.

Okay. Thank you.

You’re welcome, Barry.
