Subheadline formatting

Hello,

I have two headlines elements on this page http://justing35.sg-host.com/cornerstone/content/2779

The subheadlines of each element are both set to the same size, 1em, but the first sub headline is significantly larger than the second. Could you please explain why, and how I can make the second sub headline equal in size to the first?

Also, regarding the second sub headline, I would like the text to break to a second line instead of having it all be on one line. Which setting is best for controlling where the text breaks, please?

Thanks,
Justin

Hello Justin,

Thanks for writing in! It seems that your main headline and the sub headline have different font settings. This is your current settings:

Main Headline: bold, 1.95em

Sub Headline: regular, 1em

If you want to display the sub headline like this:

In your Headline element settings, you can set a maximum width to a fixed value and then set the left and right margins to auto.

If you wan the sub headline to move to the next line on a particular word, then you can just use the <br> HTML code.

Best Regards.

Reunel,

Thanks for your detailed response! I was able to successfully center the headline text by following your instructions.

I think there was, however, some confusion about my first question. I’m actually wondering why the sub headline text appears different in my two heading elements on this page, when the settings for each are the same. Here’s how the subheading looks in the top headline element https://www.dropbox.com/s/vyo8g5ikkyuqnzg/Screen%20Shot%202022-05-30%20at%202.40.21%20PM.png?dl=0 and here’s how it looks in the bottom headline element https://www.dropbox.com/s/c0q5l3hd7d9urb2/Screen%20Shot%202022-05-30%20at%202.40.29%20PM.png?dl=0. I would like the bottom subheading to be the same size as the top. Please notice that the size settings are the same for both the top and bottom subheadings, https://www.dropbox.com/s/io8lhjjmtp9nxy6/Screen%20Shot%202022-05-30%20at%202.42.53%20PM.png?dl=0 and https://www.dropbox.com/s/a64chkcizpmwlk3/Screen%20Shot%202022-05-30%20at%202.42.32%20PM.png?dl=0. Thanks again for your help!

Justin

Hi Justin,

I have checked the screenshot and also the setting of these two Headline and found a single difference i.e. the value set to Spacing attribute. But when I investigate it in browser I found the dissimilarity between the font size. I went ahead and set the exact value i.e. 17.505px which matched with the above one.
