Sub Total not adding up i.e. $0.00

Hi,

Just noticed that the subtotal is zero maybe after the latest update.
Please help.

Upon looking at the admin side, it’s very much likely that the reason is indeed the update.

It’s worth noticing that only the sidebar cart (the mini cart) that has an issue but the cart itself is calculating correctly.

Now, looking at the admin area, I’m sure you’ve seen this message.

Now, please click on the system status page link. Scroll down to the section that says “Templates” and you’ll see several files on the list with red marks.

One of which is the file named x-child/woocommerce/cart/mini-cart.php which powers the cart on the sidebar that has a zero subtotal.

But you’ll see that x-child/woocommerce/cart/cart.php, doesn’t have a red mark. This explains why the cart page is working perfectly.

Now, in order to the solve this problem, you need to have updated versions of the files with red marks. Woocommerce’s official documentation regarding this issue will guide you. You can read it here: https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/fix-outdated-templates-woocommerce/.

Hi,
Thanks for the prompt reply.

I updated the mini-cart.php file. Now the red mark is not there against it in the system status page. But the issue still remains. i.e. the total is $0.00. However, I found that when you delete a product from the mini-cart, the total refreshes with the correct subtotal.

Appreciate your help in fixing the issue.

Sorry for the confusion. I tested the cart widget in my test site and there’s no issue so there is no bug in X nor WooCommerce but your customization of that file. Please delete mini-cart.php. That is not a file included in X out of the box. If you wish to continue using it, you’ll need to hire a web developer to fix it.

Hi Chrstian,

I have not customized the mini-cart.php file. As per your instructions now I have deleted the mini-cart.php on the child theme. But still the problem exist. I am sending a screenshot of X-Theme Demo Icon stack woocomerece site and my site. You will see the subtotal in my site is 0.00. Please help.

Or am I missing something.

Hi there,

I checked the case in details and found out that the source of the problem is not generated from our theme. I changed the theme temporarily to default WordPress one and the subtotal still was 0:

You used a Widget called Basket. That is the problem cause. Kindly contact the developer of that widget to follow up the case.
